I can relate with being a ball of nerves after a psychology class. I took general psychology last year and it really made me question my parenting abilities and if I was raising my son 'right'. I really want to continue in psychology once I start going back to college!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1490098567697247916.post-58839292702894375282013-04-15T15:59:22.255-04:002013-04-15T15:59:22.255-04:00This is a great post!! :) This is a great post!! :) Tickled Pink Mandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10876401448919384176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1490098567697247916.post-47155143998639402622013-04-15T15:37:26.556-04:002013-04-15T15:37:26.556-04:00I definitely agree. When we were doing the adoption process (before I got pregnant) the psychologist taught us a lot about how routines, etc. are the key to well adjusted kids, etc. and how to be patient and try not to discipline with spanking, etc. because it just makes them scared, not obedient, etc. and EVERY day I tell myself I want to be a better parent and I pray that I can be the best I can. I struggle with all of the same things you mention- presence and patience are the two hardest ones I struggle with.

and I don't think your list is too short at all- because from those things come all the rest.

Great post, Mama. Glad to see you are doing ok! :)

Andiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02985102922053973445noreply@blogger.com
