One year ago, I sat at my computer and typed out my first blog post. It took me some time to get my "flow" with writing, but it came.
It may sound dramatic, but this space helped to save me a little bit when I found myself in a weird spot last winter. Everything I had ever dreamed for myself had suddenly become my everyday reality. I was no longer waiting for "what's next" and was just supposed to start living.
Putting pictures of our life next to words and sentences and stories, it helped me to see the happy in the after. Connecting with other women - women who understood being a mom or a wife or a post grad or a pink lover or a beer drinker... women I could relate to, it made me feel less alone.
My relationship with this blog has changed over the course of a year. It has evolved. I am sure (at least I hope) it will continue to do so.
I am grateful for this space. I am happy it is here. I look forward to another year of sharing what my life is like after a good day, a bad day, or a new kind of day.
Down the road I look forward to documenting life after graduating with my masters, life after two babies, life after buying a house, life after getting my first "big girl" job...
If anything this blog has made me realize that life never stops giving you moments that are worthy.
At the end of the day I know it's not about how many followers I have, whether my layout looks right, or if my design looks professional - it's about the moments that are turning into memories every time I post!
*Lately Bubba has figured out how to pull himself up in his crib.. I can't help but snap some pictures each time I catch him in the act!
UPDATE: I've deemed this my favorite post of the week, and I am linking up with Aunie for Just Because Friday!
