A Deceivingly Pleasant Name.

If you follow me on twitter/instagram you probably already saw -
but Jack fell victim to the Roseola virus this past weekend.

Roseola - sounds so nice right?
Wrong.

The pediatrician warned us Thursday night that Jack may have this virus.
It's characterized by 2-3 days of high fever.
Then the fever lowers and a rash appears.

On Friday morning, sure enough, little red dots covered Jacks face and torso.
They got worse.
By Saturday he was completely covered.
First thing Friday morning
Friday, around noon
Friday, late afternoon
 Friday Evening.

There is nothing you can do but wait it out.
Jack was fussy and sleepy.
He looked AWFUL.

It was hard not to worry.
I mean, my baby looked like a monster.
Saturday Morning.
Saturday Afternoon.
Saturday evening, barely any white spots on his face!
I constantly google imaged pictures of Roseola to make myself feel better.

On Sunday the rash had left his face but was terrible on his back, legs, and arms.
It's slowly going away, but he is contagious to other kids as long as the rash is present.

Needless to say, it wasn't exactly a "relaxing" weekend.
We have had to rearrange a few things for the week in terms of day care.

Lucky for us we having amazing family support,
& my professors are understanding.

Within one week Jack was diagnosed with a double ear infection
then the Roseola virus (they were completely unrelated)

Lord have mercy and let this child stay healthy for at least a few months!
