Road Trip!

Yesterday, we took quite the day trip with Allie and the boys to see Becky and Miss Elli at the zoo.
It was a blast!

Love me some girl time - I swear there was not one silent pause between Allie and I both ways. (That's 4 hours worth of chatting, friends!)

Becky is just about the sweetest ever.
That baby bump she's rockin'? Cute beyond words.
Elli was so well-behaved and beyond adorable!

So, minus the heat, the crazy maze of a zoo, the tight pathways that our massive strollers/wagons barely fit through, and the impossible-to-find food... Bubba and I had a fantastic time.

I didn't take many pictures.. shock to all, I know! Something about three women with the giant Canons and 80 bajillion babies (okay 5, but still) was just too crowded. Hopefully the other girls will post some good shots from the day!

Until then, enjoy the little ones from the trip. Bubba and Jude - besties for life.

Sorry these are blurry.. but Bubba couldn't stop waving to baby Jude!

Jack also found a toy he loved at Allie's house...
The fact that he had no pants on made it all that much better.

p.s. I picked a new winner for the Shabby Apple giveaway because I was never contacted by the first!
Amy, e-mail me by Saturday to claim your prize! lifeafterblog@gmail.com

Happy Thursday!
Bubba and I are checking out a potential daycare today.. wish us luck!

Friday's Letters

Dear Readers, Remember when I asked you to help me choose an outfit for my Papa's wedding?! The majority voted for the green dress. Well, when I went to buy the shoes they were SOLD OUT. I felt like the shoes made the outfit. I started working with Sarah for alternative options, and, well... I went AGAINST the majority vote and chose the white/silver dress. I know I was scolded for considering wearing GASP white to a wedding. But the majority of the dress ISN'T white and since the bride is in her late 70's, I was giving the green light to wear the white. We styled it differently than the original idea and I am pretty excited about my coral pumps/mint accessories :)

Dear Papa, I can't believe you are getting married this weekend! It feels a little strange since I have never met your soon-to-be wife, but everyone tells me Ethel is really nice. I am excited to be able to celebrate with you!
Dear O'Connor Cousiesss, Cannot wait to get our Irish on all weekend long. Seriously, our family has the BEST time when we all get together and I know that this weekend will NOT disappoint! Can't wait for some MAAAAAJOR cousin love!
Dear Indianapolis, I do not appreciate your HOT hot forecast for this weekend. I love you and I love to visit you, but I do not love 100 degree temps. No bueno.
Dear Bubba, I hope you have not grown out of your phenomenal car travelling skills. It's been a couple of months since our D.C. trip- but I am thinking if you can handle 10 hours in the car you can handle 5 hours... right?!

O'Connor cousins at the last family wedding.. which was John & I's.
Excited for this weekend?! Understatement of the century.

Happy Weekend!!

What I'm Doing Today...

I give you full permission to judge me. I would judge me.

If I'm being honest - other than a few loads for Bubba and a few loads for me (.. underwear) I don't think I've SERIOUSLY done laundry in a month. Wow, that's embarrassing. I just really REALLY hate it! Like more than any other chore in the world.

BUT, we are leaving for Grand Rapids tomorrow, and I am OUT of clothes. My jeans have reached their maximum amount of wears and I am sick of being unable to walk into my walk-in closet.

The worst part???! (Yes, it gets worse) There's MORE.. in my laundry room. There is only one word for this post - SHAME!

In other exciting news (while I procrastinate on doing that laundry some more). I am officially open for button swaps (E-mail me if you're interested!) Check out my very first sponsor, Dana! You can also expect to see a guest post from her while I'm away next Friday-Tuesday :)

Why will I be away, you ask? Bubba and I (And my mom & Megan too) are road-tripping to Washington D.C. to see my oldest sister! We couldn't be more excited - Bubba was telling his AuntE (we call my sister Erin, E.. so Aunt-E, Auntie, get it?!) all about what he would like to do during our visit, this morning via gchat...

Now I'm off to go do laundry for the rest of my life. UGH. I'll leave you with a little video of my army crawling babe-zilla. Please ignore my REALLY annoying baby voice. It just happens when I talk to him, and I don't know how to make it stop!
