On Friday, Jack and I had a lunch date with one of my college roommates.
It was so great to see her, have girl talk, and catch up!
When John got home, we took our time loading up the car and made our way to the lake!
It was perfect weather. Kind of chilly at night but perfect sun-filled days with a nice breeze!
Our little man appears to be working on FIVE teeth at the moment.
He struggles with teething so it's been... fun (insert sarcasm)
He decided to wake up a full two hours earlier than normal on Saturday,
and boycott ALL naps.
Not. One.
This child usually gets 3 hours worth of naps a day.
So we tried to keep him happy and comfortable.
This meant lots of swimming with Aunt Megan
Yes, our lake family showed up as "The Swap People" as a joke. It was hysterical!
They all have cottages in a cove across the lake,
so since the show has aired, Swamp People has become their new nickname :)
P.S. be sure to check out this amazing July group giveaway!
P.P.S. i'm giving away a pretty sweet prize over here!

Oh my goodness, that swamp people photo is hysterical. My family's lakehouse is in Wisconsin and has some pretty interesting locals around there, let me tell you. If you take a shower and comb your hair, you're basically considered a beauty queen up there. Yee haw!
And sometimes the best photos are from an iphone. I rarely lug around my big camera with me anymore.
this looks like a great weekend other than the teething. i work in a montessori infant room, so i can understand what comes with teething.
i take most of my pictures with my iphone because it's better than my camera. i'm saving up for a nice fancy dslr but i know i'll turn to my phone at times when i don't want to lug around a large camera.

Following you from the hop! I can imagine that a teething baby would be much happier with the lovely distractions that the lake brings. My baby is nine months and still no sign of teeth. Someday soon...
Aw he's too cute! I love that swimming pic :) Sounds/looks like a great weekend.
Thanks for linking up with us!

Hi Kay- I'm a new follower from the hop. I have to say I am completely jealous of the lake weather you had, it's sooo hot and sticky here. My daughter cut 6 teeth at once- it was a little miserable but at least it wasn't a tooth here and there over a long period of time.
New follower from the hop. Your little Jack is so adorable! I'm looking forward to reading more.
