No Really, They Are Obsessed With You!

Dear Bubba,

I want to tell you about how lucky you are.
I mean, not only do you have your Dad and I for parents,
but you have MY parents for a Grandma & Papa.
Seriously, kid, you are so blessed to have their unconditional love.
They spoil you rotten - and I fear it will only get worse!
You are the apple of your grandparents eyes, and they cannot get enough of you!
Your mama feels so lucky to have all of their love and support for our little family..

They are always willing to offer a helping hand and are so hands on with you!

Your grandparents are so good at following the "what the mama says goes!" rule..
I am grateful for this!
But you should know that I call your grandma at least once a day for suggestions/advice.

Mostly, I just want you to know how happy it makes me to see you with your grandparents.
I cannot wait to see a relationship between all of you grow as you get bigger and bigger.

I am so blessed to be close with my parents and have them be able to be a big part of your life!

Like I said, little man, you are one lucky boy!
Because really, your Grandma and Papa are TOTALLY obsessed with you - and so am I!
Mrs Stephanie T

Our Weekend

I'm going to do it again... overload my blog with pictures.

These pictures are extra special to me.

My parents' lake house is one of my favorite places in the world, it is now one of John's too.
This weekend was Jack's intro to lake life!
And even though he couldn't swim because of his surgery, he did great!

Favorites of the long weekend:
-Bubba's nerdy white sun hat
-Bubba's first boat ride
-Forgetting snacks for Bubba on the boat & watching him NOM on some limes meant for Coronas..
-Lake "family" meeting Bubba for the first time (My last trip there was 2 weeks before he was born!)
-Laughs and beers with family and friends
-Playing bags and dominating with my little brother (our victory dance was pretty much the best ever)
-Late night bon fires with guitar concerts by my super hot hubs ;)
-My cousin showing up with shiny new diamond engagement rings!!
-Having little boys running & screaming through the house... a glimpse into our future :)
Can you even handle that face?! Because I can't...

P.S. Still waiting on an email from my giveaway winner! Is it you?!

Our Family.

On Tuesday night we arrived in Grand Rapids.
After a day of running around doing laundry, going to last minute doctor's appointments, and packing up to leave- it was nice to take a step back and breath before the "madness".

My parents live on a golf course and after a fabulous meal at the club house I put Bubba in his jammies and went "out back" to watch John practice putting and whatnot.

My mom stayed inside so it was just the three of us.
Our little family.
We let Jack crawl freely around the green.
Of course he was most interested in the pin... shock.
We watched Bubba explore with the uninhibited curiousity that only a baby can perfect.
He would look up at us and smile before throwing his head back to squeal and giggle.
It was the perfect time of night - the last half hour before the sun sinks behind the trees.
It was quiet and calm.
Just what we needed after a long day of worry.

It was a rare, but amazing moment.

I am so blessed with this family of mine.

We may be small - but we are filled to the brim with love.
