This Week.

I've been a terrible blogger this week.
I really need to get better about being organized.
My time management skills are... lacking.

We are just to that point in the school year where I have something due each week.
And like 9 textbook chapters/6 journal articles to read a week (That wasn't an exaggeration).

It's the point in the work year where my entire agency
is pushing to get 2384238932 adoptions ready to go for Adoption Day/Christmas.

3 out of 4 days this week I didn't get home until after 8 pm.
8 pm is Jack's bed time.
I called John last night on my way home and begged him to keep Bubba awake.

I blew in the door to a baby all ready for bed.
He climbed into my lap with a book in his hands and I had to fight back some tears.
It was a long week, a hard week-
and barely any of my time was spent being a mama.

Thank God for day's off right?
I have learned to cherish Friday's.

Today has been spent at the pediatrician.
A 2 week runny nose and a nasty cough turned out to be a double ear infection.

Of course I feel guilty.
I know kids get sick and there is nothing I can do to stop it.
But I still asked myself if I could have prevented it somehow,
or if I could have taken him to the doctor sooner.

At the end of the day I know Jack feels loved and secure.
I know he is happy and content.

It has just been one of those weeks!

The good news:
ZERO weekend plans.
All A's in school so far!
& homemade chicken pot pie for dinner.

P.S. Thanks to everyone who linked up with Allie and I on Wednesday! I am still working on reading the last few posts, but they have been so much fun to look at!! If you didn't join us this week make sure to check out next week's prompt!

my kids have had double ear infections before where I have no idea they have anything wrong with them! like we go in for a well visit and they come out on antibiotics. so weird, right?

My heart goes out to you. Working, going college, being a wife, and also being a mom is extremely hard work. I've been there, done that.

I'm glad you were able to take your little one to the doctor. Hopefully soon those ear infections will clear up nicely. Those in my opinion are very hard to detect.

Don't beat yourself up to much, it sounds like your doing the best you can. Plus not to mention one day all this hard work and stress will pay off. Of course, that is easy for me to say I'm no longer in those shoes.

It's always hard for us moms to put everything else ahead of our kids. Sometimes in life we have to do it though.
